HAPPY AT WORK – CHAPTER TWO
There are more aspects of being happy at work than just being happy and looking forward to getting to your job each day.
For you, there is the contentment of knowing that you want to keep coming back to this place for a long time, that you are valued, that your work product is valued, and that you will be around people who have a similar outlook all day long. That doesn’t sound like a lot until you imagine spending many hours a day, every day of the week without one or more of those conditions. Think about it.
For your employer, the principal benefits are that they can probably count on you staying with them for a good long time and that, while you are there, you would rather be doing the work than “skating.” These benefits translate into cost savings for the company. And, after all, what is the purpose of an employment.
So, what about you? Are you seeking another job? Are you dissatisfied with your present position? Do you wonder if there is something else at which you would be happier? Wouldn’t you like to know that, when you find that next opportunity, you will experience the situation described above?
Stick with us this week and we’ll show you how.
