A 2012 Challenge
Be a Dragon!
Would you believe me if I told you, you can create the life you wish to live? Perhaps not, but it is true. Some people live this way all the time. I like to call them Dragons. In the Chinese culture, dragons are highly respected and revered, and seen as a symbol of power and luck.
Now would be a good time to pause... and write down your thoughts on the life you wish to live. What would be a perfect day in the life of “you?” What would that look like? Feel like? Be like?
Seriously, give yourself this gift and write down thoughts on exactly how you’d like to spend your life sometime in the near future. Here’s the catch: You must write down anything you’d like to do in a day without thinking of how to pay for it. No money issues, only thoughts of peace and love.
Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths to center yourself, then write away.
Would you dance? Go skiing? Hang out with your kids? What would be your perfect day? When you’re finished, read it and see if you can feel it. In most cases, what you write is what you are truly desiring out of life, and if that's the case, go tackle some items on your list. You deserve it. And, you're worth it.
The last time I wrote, “my day in the life of Sandra K.,” I found myself writing many things that surprised me and I felt the peace of the perfect day my pen and hand designed.
On those occasions when I experience the angst of living somewhere other than now, I simply close my eyes, breathe and recall the feeling of that day… and I trust it’s on its way into my life and I continue this day in peace.
2012, The Year of the Dragon:
What does the "year of the dragon" mean? It refers to the Chinese Zodiac. People born in Dragon years tend to be popular individuals who are always full of life and enthusiasm, with a reputation for being fun-loving. Dragon personalities are free spirits. Dragons are uninhibited, creative and lively. The Dragon is an extroverted bundle of energy with big ideas and extreme ambition.
What a wonderful way to live life! This Dragon year could be the spark of inspiration we all need. It feeds right into our 2012 Challenge...Let's be more like Dragons... and Go After Your Perfect Day!
Thoughts are things, might as well make them good ones!
