ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Born and raised in Michigan, LiWi Founder Gary Nash comes from a large family of humble beginnings. With eight brothers and sisters, Gary says, “there was always an abundance of people and love in the house, but not an abundance of money.”

Growing up on a tight budget and watching his mother, a nurse, and father, a maintenance worker,  struggle with excruciatingly long hours, Gary vowed, at an early age, his life would be different. “I remember hearing the sound of the vacuum at four o'clock in the morning,” says Gary. “Between work and us kids, that was the only time my mother had to do chores...life was tough for my parents.”

Gary's journey toward financial security, stability and success started at Michigan State University where he studied business and finance—by night, he cleaned offices to help pay tuition. He eventually found an entry-level position at a local bank and immersed himself in real-life, hands-on training—soaking up all the knowledge he could about money, banking and customer relations through bank sponsored training classes. This set the wheels in motion for his future success.   

After a short banking career, Gary earned various financial and insurance certifications. He started his own retirement strategy and investment consulting firm in 1990, determined to help others secure their own financial freedom. His investment and financial firm has helped thousands of people manage their money and achieve their own economic success.

In 2009, Gary's life took an unexpected turn when an unusual health condition consumed his every waking moment. Refusing to succumb and determined to find a cure, Gary embarked on a journey that would change his life forever. His search opened new chapters as he traveled across the globe, from Ecuador to Egypt, researching alternative treatments and the power of therapeutic grade essential oils. (read more)

Through his travels, and an awakening inside an Egyptian pyramid, his mission in life became clear—build a community of “life” minded people who focus on life's greatest treasures—family, friends and health through connection, courage, freedom, hope, inspiration, passion, prosperity, support, vitality and wellness. This is how LiWi was born.
